Who is the data controller

What data we collect
When you create a user account we store name, email and password (hashed with bcrypt). When you send a structured enquiry to an appraiser we store the address, area, year built and contact details for that specific job. When you publish a review the content and your name are stored publicly on the relevant profile.

How long we keep the data
User accounts are deleted on request. Enquiries are deleted 12 months after the last activity. Reviews are deleted once you or the appraiser request it and the request has been processed.

Who we share the data with
Enquiries you send to an appraiser are shared only with that selected appraiser. We do not share contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion and data portability under GDPR articles 15–22. Enquiries are answered within 30 days.

Security
The platform runs on Vercel and AWS within the EEA. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Sensitive error messages are logged to Sentry without personally identifying content.

Cookies
We use an HttpOnly session cookie (tm_session) for login. We use Plausible Analytics for anonymous visitor measurement — no third-party advertising cookies.
